What I Want to do for YOU!
Run, Forest, Run
At no other point in my life have I possessed this much self-confidence and what else do I possess that is unique? Honesty, integrity and an ambition to lead and the courage to stand up for you. I don't play favorites, I truly love the law and despise nepotism and cronyism. I don't mean rules and regulations, I mean the kind that frames our Constitution. The key to victory in our House District will be our ability to energize the Independents and to do that I have to wake up and inspire the Democrats, to do that I have to garner trust and confidence. I don't care who you are or where you live, if you need help organizing your precinct, I will be there for you. I love walking precincts, plain and simple, because I love people and I like solving their problems, but most of all I like fighting for those that can't fight for thenselves. All I ask in return is that you lend a hand and help make us strong where we are weak and stronger where we are strong. No one is a "born" leader and they certainly don't just snap their fingers and become one. Leaders are teachers, they inspire, they lead by example, they all have something in common, they learned leadership from someone with the passion to teach. I watch a lot of C-SPAN or as much as I can, it's a tough job lecturing congressmen, which is what that's all about; If all politics is local and being a big fish in a small pond is desirable, then we have the ingredients to get this state on track. In no other profession is this type of discourse possible, I have a knack for it, I have the CONFIDENCE for it. The Colorado Legislature is in dire need of leadership and I am not only confident that I can win when we toss our hat into the ring, but that I can lead and inspire once we get there. Please, turn me loose! From Bobby Kennedy's 1966 Speech:
"Some believe there is nothing one man or one woman can do against the enormous array of the world's ills. Yet many of the world's great movements, of thought and action, have flowed from the work of a single man. A young monk began the Protestant reformation, a young general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth, and a young woman reclaimed the territory of France. It was a young Italian explorer who discovered the New World, and the thirty-two-year-old Thomas Jefferson who proclaimed that all men are created equal."
"These men (and women mc) moved the world, and so can we all. Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
